He says "sumtin" instead of "something", "mah" instead of "my". Reading the other reviews, it sounds like I need to put in a few more hours of game play before it gets more interesting, but I'm not sure that I'm willing to invest the time in it. I find this game to be really boring so far. All the dialog in the game appears to be translated by non-native English speakers, and I wonder if this is how Japanese people think that dark skinned Americans speak. The characters and dialog seem really childish, and it just doesn't appeal to me at all. There's a dark skinned character in the game who speaks with poor English, which strikes me as possibly racist. I'm only a few hours into the game, but this is the only dark skinned character I've come across so far, and he's the only one who speaks like this. Maybe there's something later in the game that would make me more comfortable with this character.Clearly there are other adults who enjoyed this game, so maybe I'm in the minority, but for an adult, I'd recommend something like Sims Castaway.
I really like this game. You can go shopping or go on a boat that travels across town and go to the Entertainment Area or to the Disco.
You can to go into the casino and play Tic-Tac-Trump or Exactly 21. MySims is a fun game.
You earn money by being nice to the tourists. You can design your own house, room by room.
You meet lots of different characters. There's also an airport, little shops, and you can play different sports.
My sister and I have several of the different MySims games.
My 8 1/2 year old son is having a great time with this game. He is learning about responsibility and having fun at it too. He shows me all the houses he has and what he has bought to put in them. I want to take some time to make my own person and try the game out it looks so fun.
I'm an avid Sims lover and I've even played the game a few times out of pure boredom and it's not too bad just not as good or indepth as the other versions. It's just her speed.
But if you have a kid that wants to play your Sims games on PS2 or PC and you don't want them to because of the sexual content, etc etc, BUY THEM THIS GAME. I bought this for my 8 yr old who always wants to play my games on PS2 and PC but I am uncomfortable with some of the content.
If you are true Sims lover and have ever played on PS2 or PC, this game is probably not for you. SHE LOVES IT.
The solution. I got her a DS Lite and some games like this one.
She gets to create a Sim and create the clothes and decorate the house and go on tiny little Sim missions, only this game is so mild you don't have to worry about any kind of adult content. Bottom line, my kids love it.
I chose this over Sims 2 for just those features and I think as far as my wife is concerned - I made the right choice.I too found it fun, though a little simplistic. Got this for my wife's birthday (who loves her DS) and she really likes it. So loves to decorate the Sims house, dress them and to all the little side missions. I play a lot of Xbox 360 and the games I play are usually NOTHING like this. But it's still fun if I'm just sitting in bed or want something to do on a long trip.Definitely recommended.
